Lakland Bass Guitars
Like all independent manufacturers, Lakland started out as a hobby business by a passionate player. In the early 90's, Dan Lakin took to buying and repairing old basses from the local classifieds. He found an excellent luthier in Hugh McFarland, who helped him restore these vintage basses to their peak, and the rest, as the cliche goes, is history. Lak, from Lakin, and Land, from McFarland, joined forces to start Lakland Bass Guitars and started to churn out their own products customized to the specifications of true bass enthusiasts. Lakland Basses are endorsed by Bob Glaub, Darryl Jones, Joe Osborn, Jerry Scheff, and Donald "Duck" Dunn to name a few. Start thumpin' a Lakland and take your rhythm section to the next level.
