George Lowden Guitars
George Lowden taught himself how to build guitars by reading an informative text by acclaimed English luthier John Bailley. With a basic understanding of woodworking, Lowden figured out how to make guitars the hard way. Never an apprentice. No master teacher. Book, tools, wood. After several years of playing with his woodworking tools and developing his own guitar designs, George Lowden released the first batch of his "Dolphin" series guitars in 1976. Since then, Lowden has generated an intense following and international acclaim for his guitars. George Lowden guitars are handmade in Downpatrick, Northern Ireland.
