A.C. (Tony) Zemaitis Guitars
Antanus Casimere Zemaitis, or Tony, was born in London, England in 1935. As a young guitarist, Tony was unsatisfied with the models available on the market. After a few decades of perfecting his craft and introducing new ideas to the guitar building scene, Zemaitis Guitars was established as the premier maker of boutique guitars, practically inventing the niche. Unfortunately, A.C. retired from the business in 2000. He passed away in 2002, leaving his son to run the company that he founded. Zemaitis continues to make fine musical instruments. Whether you want a vintage or modern Zemaitis, you can be guaranteed a quality musical instrument when you find that name on the headstock. Famous players include: Ronnie Wood, Richie Sambora, Rich Robinson, Gilby Clarke, Jeff Tweedy, Sully Erna, Billy Sheehan, and Joe Walsh.
